Almond flour is highly nutritious, easy to use and readily available. Convenient for those watching their glycaemic index, almond flour is high in protein, low in carbohydrates, and low in sugars.

Almond flour is an alternative to wheat flour for baking and cooking. The only ingredients in almond flour are ground, whole almonds with the skin removed.

Almond Flour is naturally gluten-free and high in dietary fiber. It is perfect if you follow a Paleo, Banting or Keto or any other low carb diet.

USES
Almond flour works very well for most cake and muffin recipes, pancakes and some cookie recipes, too. It can also be used to make tart shells for sweet or savoury dishes. To convert any regular baked recipes to low-carb using almond flour, experiment by simply replacing the volume of flour in the recipe with the same volume of almond flour. Use slightly more raising agent (baking powder) than the recipe suggests allowing for the heavier weight of the almond flour.

  • Pancakes. For a subtle nutty flavour, substitute the flour with almond flour.
  • Coating. Use almond flour in place of bread crumbs or flour to make a crust for fish or chicken tenders.
  • Meatballs and meatloaf. Substitute almond flour for any bread used in your favourite recipes.
  • Gluten-free cookies. Use almond flour to make chewy-crisp cookies or make crunchy, protein-rich biscotti.
  • Brownies. Use almond flour to make incredibly fudgy brownies.
