HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER
Make your own homemade peanut butter using top quality Montagu peanuts. Not only are peanuts great for snacking, but they’re also simply more-ish and lip-smacking as a spread. This way you eat only the good stuff.
Makes: approximately 1 cup
250g Montagu blanched peanuts (roasted and salted OR raw for a super-healthy option)
1 tsp vegetable oil (optional)
1.) Pop the Montagu peanuts into a high-speed blender. Bitz the nuts for a few seconds.
2.) Scape down the sides of the blender, then blitz again. Continue until you reach peanut butter
consistency. If the mixture is too thick add the vegetable oil and continue pulsing.
3.) Store the peanut butter in a jar in the fridge.
• Add 1-2 teaspoons honey to taste for a slightly sweeter peanut butter.
• To make crunchy peanut butter stir a small handful of chopped peanuts into the peanut butter
after blitzing. Or simply stop blitzing before the peanut butter is completely smooth.
